CPG · Food

Taste-tested by the households you need on the shelf.

New food items live or die on trial and early ratings. ShopperArmy gets your snack, pantry, or frozen product to members profiled by diet, household, and where they shop for groceries, then turns their honest verdict into verified reviews on the retailer pages that decide velocity.

Why this category is different

Trial is the whole game.

Diet matters

Gluten-free, keto, plant-based, high-protein, allergy-aware: members are profiled on diet so the right households taste it.

Velocity at the banner

Rebated purchases create real sell-through at the grocers where you're stocked, with a receipt behind every review.

Repeat is the real metric

A post-trial survey from the same households tells you who would buy again, and why not.

Two routes, one kind of proof

Rebated purchase or free sample.

Either way the shopper is matched to your buyer, the product is verified in their hands, and the review carries proof you can link to.

Rebated purchase

The member buys at the retailer or marketplace you choose, uploads the receipt or order, uses it, and is reimbursed once an honest review is verified.

Best for new items at Walmart, Kroger, Target, and regional grocers, where reviews and real sell-through both matter for the next line review.

Free sample, delivered

We ship to profiled members at verified home addresses. They use it for the trial period you set, then rate and review where you need it.

Best for pre-distribution launches, DTC and ecommerce-first brands, new flavors, and refrigerated or frozen items with a shipping plan.

Not strangers from an ad

Members we already know.

Typical sample-request programs

  • Anyone who clicks an ad can ask for a free sample
  • Fraud and waste are filtered after the request comes in
  • Free samples only, so reviews rarely carry a verified purchase
  • Marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart.com are an afterthought

ShopperArmy

  • Members were profiled and address-verified before your mission existed
  • Only matched members ever see it, so no samples go to the wrong household
  • Free sample or rebated purchase, with a receipt behind every rebated review
  • Built for Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com, and retailer pages from day one

Compliance

Honest reviews, handled properly for food.

Never paid for a rating

Same reward for one star or five. Honest taste feedback you can act on.

Allergy-aware screening

Missions can screen out members with relevant allergies before any product ships.

Disclosures built in

Every review carries the incentivized-review disclosure the retailer expects.

Retailer policies respected

Programs follow each retailer's review rules, so your item stays in good standing.

FAQ

Questions food brands ask first.

Which grocery retailers can reviews land on?

Wherever your item is sold and reviews are collected, including Walmart.com, Target.com, Kroger and its banners, Instacart, Amazon, and your own site. Tell us your distribution and we'll map the program to it.

Can you ship refrigerated or frozen products?

Frozen and refrigerated items usually run as in-store rebates, so the member buys it cold at the store. Shelf-stable items can ship as free samples.

Can we find out who would buy again?

Yes. A short post-trial survey to the same members captures taste, price perception, and repeat-purchase intent, alongside the reviews.

How is pricing structured?

Per verified review, with product cost, rebates, and fulfillment itemized. You only pay for reviews that pass verification and compliance checks.
